Our journey began with Richard “Dick” Sgarlato managing a Union 76 service station in San Jose, CA. Recognizing the demand for towing services due to roadside breakdowns, Dick invested in his first tow truck. Over time, as demand grew, so did our fleet, expanding from one tow truck to 25. In 1968, Dick secured a towing contract with AAA and added police contracts to our portfolio. After 33 years, Dick retired, passing the business to his four sons who continue to own and operate it today.
