In 2003, Don and Brenda Queeney took over ownership of the company store from Arpin Van Lines, becoming independent agents and founding Hampton Roads Moving and Storage. With a workforce of 75 employees year-round, this number swells to 125 during peak periods with part-time and seasonal workers. Notably, Hampton Roads Moving and Storage achieved recognition from Inside Business as one of the fastest-growing businesses in the Hampton Roads region, marking the first time a moving company had earned such an honor. The company’s leadership includes Brenda Queeney as the President and Chief Financial Officer, Don Queeney as the Vice President, and their son, Chad Queeney, who began working in the business at the age of 14 and now serves as the Chief Operating Officer.

In 2015, the company streamlined its operations by consolidating them into a single location in Suffolk, VA, providing relocation services both locally and worldwide. Situated in the Norfolk market, the company’s primary focus remains on military relocations, but they also offer services for corporate relocations, commercial office moving, and storage and installation solutions for hotels and restaurants. This strategic move to a centralized location has allowed Hampton Roads Moving and Storage to efficiently serve its diverse clientele and continue its growth as a prominent player in the industry.
