In 1912, Samuel and Louisa Naglee established their carting business, initially operating from their home and barn on Horsehead Boulevard in Elmira Heights, New York. Their services primarily focused on drayage, utilizing horses and carts to transport various dry goods to and from freight terminals in Elmira. As their business expanded, they transitioned to motorized vehicles, acquiring their first truck—a 1914 Selden, an open-aired stake body flat-bed truck. Arthur, their son, soon joined Samuel in furthering the family legacy and business operations.
