Initially supplying local towns with fuel using a modest coal truck, Matt’s business expanded when he began transporting furniture on the back of his coal lorry to assist those relocating or in need of moving small goods. In the early 1960s, the company acquired its first Removal Truck, marking the beginning of significant growth in the removal business. Over the years, Matt Purdie and Sons underwent two more generations of evolution, achieving recognition as the BAR Mover of the Year in 2010. By 2015, the company had transformed into a leading Global Logistics Specialist, prompting a name change to Purdie Worldwide to better align with the dynamic global landscape.

Undergoing a transformative journey from its humble beginnings as a local Coal Merchant, Purdie Worldwide’s expansion continued with the acquisition of a Removal Truck in the early 60s.
