Upon graduating from Appalachian State University, I embarked on my professional journey in the banking sector with Credit Suisse, located in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area. However, as I progressed through various office settings, I began to yearn for the physical activity and passion I had experienced through sports during my formative years. While still rooted in the world of finance, an opportunity arose for me to become part-time manager at a local moving company. It was at this point that I became acutely aware of the myriad challenges within the moving industry, such as customer complaints ranging from theft of belongings and property damage to the employment of unprepared and inexperienced laborers, as well as the prevalence of illegitimate and illegal moving companies, price gouging, and manipulative practices.

Despite the industry’s glaring issues, I developed a deep affection for it and discovered a profound sense of purpose in rectifying the negative perceptions that customers had formed about the moving business. This newfound passion and dedication ultimately led to the establishment of Raleigh Moving Company, a locally owned and operated business serving the very area where I had started my career.
