The story of Rockbrune Bros Movers began on a humble farm, where Robert Rockbrune, a teenager with big dreams, left for Oshawa to seek better opportunities. In 1931, amid the economic hardships of the Great Depression, Robert and Robina purchased a truck and started “City Cartage,” offering moving services to local farmers and businesses. Their resourcefulness and hard work led to the company’s growth, eventually moving entire houses and expanding their operations. Over the decades, their sons took over, joining United Van Lines Canada and expanding further across southern Ontario. Today, the legacy continues with Joseph Rockbrune and his sons, Jason, Todd, Joe Jr., and John, leading the company and preparing the next generation to carry on the family tradition.
