About:
VIP Transport – Mayflower agent
VIP’s inception traces back to Dan Griffiths, a college student pursuing a Master’s Degree in Psychology while working at a local moving and storage company during the day. His knack for problem-solving and dedication to customer satisfaction led him to thrive in handling both local and long-distance operations. Despite facing a setback due to a serious accident that kept him away from work for six months, Dan’s passion for creating transportation solutions remained undeterred. With borrowed funds, he established VIP in Long Beach, starting with a trailer and a couple of trucks, and with the unwavering support of his family, VIP embarked on its journey.
The company’s commitment to innovative problem-solving quickly garnered attention, winning its first major account with the U.S. Postal Service and subsequently expanding its services to cater to highly specialized clients like Hitachi Data Systems and NASA. Over the years, VIP continued to evolve, establishing itself in Jessup, Maryland, to better serve East Coast operations, and pioneering groundbreaking solutions such as customized trailers with climate control units for transporting temperature-sensitive shipments. VIP’s dedication to customer satisfaction extended beyond commercial ventures to include personal and corporate relocations, eventually earning them contracts with professional sports teams like the LA Lakers and the LA Kings. Today, under the leadership of Laurie Griffiths and Brittany Johnson, VIP remains true to its roots as a family-owned business, prioritizing personalized service while continuing to grow and innovate in the transportation industry.
