Mike and Tracey McClain relocated to Albuquerque from San Jose, California in 2000, having previously operated a successful business called Xtreme Clean. Upon settling in Albuquerque, they restarted their business and identified a gap in the market for adequate storage facilities, particularly for boats and RVs. Observing the evolving demand in this niche sector, they established Xtreme Storage Albuquerque to cater not only to this specialized market but also to the broader self-storage industry.

Over the course of three years since its inception in 2017, Xtreme Storage Albuquerque thrived in the RV, boat, and self-storage sectors. Recognizing an additional opportunity, the McClains identified a lack of options in the portable storage industry within New Mexico. Consequently, they made the strategic decision to expand their services to include portable storage and moving solutions statewide in 2020. Their portable storage vaults offer a secure, convenient, and cost-effective solution for both moving purposes and storing belongings at construction or renovation sites.
